“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrew 13:15
We are living in a world that is constantly changing. One of the reasons for the fast change is that those behind the change keep sacrificing and as a result are getting the praise and reward. Just as how the earthly people who event things need praise, So, also is God who created us. He requires and deserves praises from us at all times. To better understand the reasons for praising God, let us start by opening our understanding to the definitions below.
Sacrifice: It is the giving up of something for the sake of other considerations.
Praise: expression of gratitude towards a deity, especially in song.
Sacrifice of praise: The giving up of time, energy, resources for the expression of gratitude to God through songs, worship, work etc.
REASONS FOR PRAISE
• Praise transcends time, places, people and events (Psalm 106:1): This is a typical example of “Hallel Praise.” These Psalms were sung by pilgrims as they made their way to Jerusalem for the various feast days in Israel. They were used to prepare the hearts of the pilgrims for worship.
• Praise lifts your spirit: This type of praise brings our spirit into a pinnacle of fellowship and intimacy between ourselves and God. You offer this praise when life feels overwhelming, and things don’t make sense and frustration mounts. (Psalm 34:4) _The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in Spirit._
• Praise helps you sense God's presence: This type of praise helps you see God at all times and especially in hard to escape situations. (Exodus 15:2, Psalm 145:9, Psalm 23:1).
• Praise enlarges your perception of God: This praise magnifies our awareness of union with the Highest God. It transports us into the realm of the supernatural and into the power of God. (Psalm 69:30)
• Praise reveals solutions we can't see: This type of praise helps you to get solutions faster. It is called Tehilah – You sing spontaneous combination of songs. new old songs.
• Praise helps us remember God's blessing: With praise you can remember all what he has done. Sing: Deuteronomy 8:18
• Praise enlists God's protection: When you praise God, he will protect you. (2 Thessalonians 3:3, Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 34:7)
